About this work

An old lemon tree in golden light
  • What it is

Family constellations is a way of looking at your family system, and at the patterns that can pass from one generation to the next. I trained for five years at the Centre for Systemic Constellations in London.

  • Who it can suit

I offer it to people who are working with attachment trauma, family dynamics or intergenerational trauma. It can also be very supportive if you are struggling with something that feels difficult to shift no matter what you try, living with chronic illness, or feeling stuck in areas of life such as work, money and relationships.

What happens in a session

  1. We talk

We meet and talk about your family or the system you want to look at. I ask about its facts and history, and we agree the intention for the work.

  2. We build a living map

Using figures such as Playmobil, we create a map of what needs to be explored. It brings movement and flow, so the family can find harmony and ease again.

  3. Healing sentences

Short sentences support the movement. They say what needs to be said so the system can open and flow again. One example, for a parentified child: “You are the big one, I am the little one.”

Family constellations isn’t a replacement for medical or psychological treatment.

Questions you might have

Still wondering about something? Ask me when we speak.

Is it the same as counselling?

No. Family constellations is a separate service from counselling, with its own first session and fees.

Do I need to bring my family?

No. Sessions are one to one, or for couples, and your family is never in the room.

Do you run groups or workshops?

I see people one to one at the moment. I have run workshops before and hope to again.

How soon can I start?

As soon as you are ready. We can talk about timing when we speak.
