What couples bring

Relationship difficulties
Whatever is making things hard between you, you can bring it here.
Codependency
When closeness has started to feel like losing yourself, we can look at it gently.
Communication
Finding words, and hearing each other, when both have become hard.
Feeling distant
Sharing a life but feeling far apart is a place we can start.
Going round in circles
The same argument, again and again. We can step back and look at what keeps it going.
Change or decision
Something weighing on you both. You don’t have to work it out alone.
How it works with two of you
In couples sessions we focus on what is unique about your relationship.
We work as a team.
Room for each voice
It is a space for each of you to say what you hope for. You are each encouraged to share your thoughts and feelings openly.
Looking at the pattern, not who’s to blame
We look at your relationship’s history, talk about what you would both like, and look at the challenges you are facing. We notice the strengths as well as the harder areas.
At a pace that suits you both
We go at a pace that feels comfortable, so that both of you feel heard and understood. Much of the work is about communication, and understanding each other’s point of view.

Questions you might have
Still wondering about something? Ask me when we speak.

Do I need to know what to say?
No. You can begin with a short question, and we’ll take it from there.
Can we meet in person?
Sessions are mainly online. If you live near Brighton & Hove, we can also meet in person. Tell me which you’d prefer when you get in touch. We can decide what suits you when we speak.
Do you work in Spanish?
Yes. I work in English and Spanish.
How long is a session?
Couples sessions are 60 or 90 minutes.
How often do we meet?
Usually once a week to start with. When you feel ready, we can move to every two weeks.
How soon can I start?
As soon as you are ready. We can talk about timing when we speak.
